The meals at Alpenhotel were exceptional. Beautifully presented, good quality ingredients. The sommelier was able to recommend lovely Austrian wines to accompany our evening meals. Being non-German speakers, the hotel made an effort to provide English translations, which we appreciated. The wellness area at the hotel was comprehensive. The location of the hotel is only a short ski down to the St Christoph chairlift. The room was spacious with fantastic views.
Breakfast could have started earlier, 8am was a little late if you want to get on the first chairlift. The hotel was heavily deodorised with citrus scents. The hotel is not ski in. There is a short walk back to the hotel from the piste. Our room, 214, was opposite the internal stairs and was a little noisy.
